Time Management | Virtual Queue | Best Solution

How many times have you said to yourself, “I don’t have time,” or “I wish I had 48 hours in a day?” Or have you ever found yourself very occupied for a whole day, week, or month yet unable to do anything? This is very common, especially in our modern lifestyle, where most of us spend 8-10 hours in the office, driving around the city to meet clients, pay bills, wait in a long line for a simple lunch or drive half an hour for a food craving, stuck in traffic, and then spend another 3-4 hours in a bar, sipping beer.

Begin controlling your time to take control of your time

Aside from sleeping, we only get 15-16 hours of sleep each day on average. We probably only have 5-6 hours for ourselves after subtracting the hours we spend at work. Even if we only have 5-6 hours left for ourselves, if we want to attain financial independence, we must be as productive as possible. Begin to make something useful of those hours by allocating specified time for activities such as a quick lunch, a good but simple supper, errands, a little relaxation, starting a part-time company, budgeting, reading a book, financial planning, and so on.

Concentrate your efforts on high-value deliverables

Have you ever questioned why your salary amount has remained the same for a few years or has only received a little increase while your colleagues seem to be paid many times more? This is due to the value you provide to your employer. Some individuals complete exactly what their employer instructs them to, other people finish less than what is anticipated, and some people finish a lot more than is expected. In his job, the final employee adds more value. Though he is a salesman who brings in more sales than his quota to the business, resulting in more income, he is considered to provide more value in his job, and therefore higher compensation is justified, even if he is the least experienced of the three example workers. During the 8-hour workday, you should concentrate on high-value job deliverables and keep low-value tasks brief and uncomplicated. If you’re a computer programmer, customers expect you to repair problems, but if you can provide a piece of software that works smoothly, quickly, and consistently and improves business process efficiency, you’re doing high-value work.

Use other people’s time as a resource

You must know how to utilise other people’s time in order to be a good time manager. Furthermore, if purchasing other people’s time results in increased cost efficiency and profit, it becomes acceptable. If you’re a high-flying salesperson, a personal assistant is definitely justified, since you can utilise the time you’d spend on administrative tasks to contact customers and meet with new prospects.

The ability to multitask

In today’s information era, when most corporate employees work on a computer, it’s natural for us to multitask, or desire to do many things at the same time. Multitasking may help you be more efficient, but if you’re juggling too many things at once, your efficiency in finishing one job will suffer, and you’ll wind up doing nothing. We are, after all, human beings, not multitasking computers, and even computers eventually run out of memory and slow down.

Performing tasks in the most efficient manner possible

If you spend more time on average working on one item, you’re probably not doing it well or efficiently. If you have coworkers or acquaintances who can accomplish something quicker or more effectively, observe and learn from them. If you don’t have a role model to learn from, try doing it in various ways to see what you learn. You may discover something new and fascinating. You will become outdated if you continue to do things in the same inefficient manner.

Don’t spend your time thinking about boredom

Nowadays, with so many options to pass the time, we tend to believe that fully using time means going someplace or doing something, and that if we are not going somewhere or doing anything, it is a waste of time. Many individuals have this mentality, and you can usually hear them inquire, “So, where are you going tonight?” “What have you been up to all weekend?” or “What have you been up to all weekend?” “Come on, go someplace exciting,” they say, or “You’re wasting your weekend reading a book?” They describe significant activities as visiting somewhere pleasant, having fun, or simply doing nothing and killing time. This also explains why, when there is no “plan,” many individuals get bored quickly. Don’t spend time preparing your “plan”; instead, get started on something really important.

It’s most likely time to move on

It’s definitely time to switch modes of transportation if you spend a lot of time delayed in traffic. Alternatively, if your family circumstances allows and the expense is justified, you might try relocating closer to your workplace. Working employees in a modern city and way of life usually spend hours a day travelling in a high way or traffic jam. This occurs because living costs in the city are so high that they have to live further away to save money, but they are unaware that they are trading off a more valuable resource, time.

Make the most of your downtime

We spend a lot of our time commuting and waiting. Why not read a book or listen to an audio book while driving while waiting or on the train?

Don’t waste time waiting in lines

You probably have to wait for an hour or two once or twice a month to pay your credit card or utility bills; these activities offer little value to your life. Look for a time-saving method of doing your errands. You may always use online banking to pay your utilities and credit card bills. Even if it costs a little fee for each transaction, it is still preferable than squandering money.

Your time is more valuable than the little amount of charges, therefore don’t waste it queuing. Certain tasks that require physical presence may be outsourced to a runner for a fee. There are runners for a variety of items in my nations, including driver’s licences, passports, vehicle road tax and insurance, and so on. It is acceptable to employ a runner to perform the task if the time saved is exchanged for increased cost efficiency or profit.

As the technology has reached the level of advancement virtual queue is best for saving time and hassle.

Reduce the number of times you have happy hour. Many individuals justify going to happy hour nearly every day because they believe they have earned it. It’s OK to do this every now and again, but doing it every two or three nights is excessive. You have much more important things to do with your life than sit about chit-chatting and talking about rubbish.

Conclusion

Last but not least, you deserve a decent night’s sleep after a long day of hard labour. The last method to effectively manage time is to schedule adequate time for yourself to rest and relax. Only by getting adequate sleep and rest will you be able to operate more efficiently and with a clearer mind the next day, resulting in better time efficiency.
